![]()
Chinese meals have always been eaten communally around a table with shared dishes in the middle. Dinners are seen as a tool to build and strengthen relationships in Chinese society. In China, however, there is a distinct divide in food based on regions and ethnic minorities. When people from all over China get together for dinner, how to make the dishes on a table satisfy everyone's preferences as much as possible has become an art.
